He is my knight in shining armor
He is the boy who is shy when he talks to me
He is the one who plagues my day dreams
And he is the only one for me

When I was down in the dumps
He picked me right up
When I was on the edge of the world
He brought me back to where I belong

In our relationship, there is surely an enemy to be found
But I know that who or whatever it is
My hero will vanquish them
Because I can always count on him

I remember all the times we've had so far
And I pray every night that there'll be more to come
Although every night, I cry
Because it hurts to long for him this much

At times I worry he'll lie and cheat
But in all the right stories,
The hero always prevails
And assures his princess he'll come back to her and only her

If only our fairy tale was that perfect
Our flaws are yet to be discovered
Until then, it is just my hero and me
